The next generation of "American Ninja Warrior" begins, as some of the show's biggest fans now get an opportunity to compete for the chance to be named American Ninja Warrior junior champion. Over the course of 20 weeks, 192 young competitors travel to Los Angeles from all over the country to square off in three separate age group brackets (9 and 10, 11 and 12, 13 and 14) until only one is left standing in each bracket. "American Ninja Warrior" co-hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila return to provide play-by-play commentary, along with a new co-host, gold-winning Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez. Joining them are all-star ninjas, including Drew Drechsel, Meagan Martin, Najee Richardson, Barclay Stockett, Kevin Bull, and Natalie Duran, who act as mentors for all of the junior ninjas.
