A social satire set at an exclusive tropical resort, this six-episode limited series follows the vacations of various hotel guests over the span of a week as they relax and rejuvenate in paradise. But with each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in these picture-perfect travelers, the hotel's cheerful employees and the idyllic locale itself.

Among the employees at The White Lotus are the fastidious resort manager Armond (Murray Bartlett), who, after a sudden trauma, begins a dramatic downward spiral - and the down-to-earth spa manager, Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) who gets taken on an emotional roller coaster ride by a needy guest. The vacationers include the Mossbacher family - Nicole (Connie Britton), a successful type-A exec, who can't help but treat her family like disobedient employees; her husband, Mark (Steve Zahn), dealing with both an embarrassing health crisis and a terminal inferiority complex; their teenaged son, Quinn (Fred Hechinger), a socially awkward gamer, experiencing the wonder of nature for the very first time; their daughter, Olivia (Sydney Sweeney), and her friend, Paula (Brittany O'Grady), sharp-tongued college sophomores who cast a sardonic eye on the lifestyles and belief systems of everyone around them.

The handsome, entitled Shane Patton (Jake Lacy) is here with his beautiful bride, Rachel (Alexandra Daddario). Shane and Rachel are in the throes of young love, but as they get to know each other better in this new, intimate environment, clouds of doubt appear - and by the time Shane's intrusive mother, Kitty (Molly Shannon) surprises them with an unwelcome visit, their fairytale honeymoon has begun to unravel. And finally, there is Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge), a wealthy, unstable woman, recovering from the death of her mother, traveling alone to the hotel, looking for love and in desperate need of a massage.

On March 25, HBO Max will premiere the new animated special THE RUNAWAY BUNNY, based on the children's book by Margaret Wise Brown. Producer and director Amy Schatz captures the gentle magic of this classic with the use of traditional hand-drawn animation, narration and performance of an original Margaret Wise Brown lullaby by Tracee Ellis Ross and songs by Grammy(R) winning artists Mariah Carey, Kelly Rowland, Rosanne Cash, Ziggy Marley and Kimya Dawson, as well as Grammy(R) nominees Rufus Wainwright and Michael Kiwanuka.

Originally published in 1942 by HarperCollins Publishers, the book has sold over 12 million copies and continues to enchant generations of children. THE RUNAWAY BUNNY brings the illustrations of Clement Hurd and the poetry of Margaret Wise Brown to animated life for the first time. Featuring a restless little bunny who dreams of leaving home, the film is an exploration of love and childhood. Woven throughout the story are songs that accompany the bunny on his imaginary, magical adventures into the world and back home to the comfort of his mother's love.

"THE RUNAWAY BUNNY is a timeless classic about youthful independence and the strength of a mother's love," said Billy Wee, SVP, Original Animation, HBO Max. "Amy Schatz has lovingly brought this story to vivid life with an incredible group of collaborators."

THE RUNAWAY BUNNY features the following songs:

· Mariah Carey's brand-new reinterpretation of her #1 hit song "Always Be My Baby"

· Kelly Rowland - Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love"

· Rosanne Cash - "You Are My Sunshine"

· Ziggy Marley - "What a Wonderful World"

· Rufus Wainwright - Billy Joel's "Lullabye, Goodnight My Angel"

· Kimya Dawson - "You Are My Baby"

· Michael Kiwanuka - "Home Again"

· Tracee Ellis Ross performs "Song of the Runaway Bunny," the never-before-released song written by Margaret Wise Brown based on a Provençal love ballad which inspired Brown to write this book.

THE RUNAWAY BUNNY is produced and directed by Amy Schatz, whose work includes "Goodnight Moon & Other Sleepytime Tales" and the "Classical Baby" series, currently available on HBO MAX. Schatz's productions have earned multiple Emmy, Directors Guild of America, Peabody and Parents' Choice Awards, including a 2020 Emmy win for outstanding children's program for "We Are the Dream."
