Paranormal Lockdown is a paranormal reality television series that was executively produced by Nick Groff, formerly of Ghost Adventures. 72 hour confinement...in the most haunted locations...in search of groundbreaking evidence. Investigator Ben Radford states that the claims of living 72 hours in a haunted house as some sort of a challenge is "absurd." People all over the world claim to live in haunted locations, apparently longer than 72 hours. Before you can claim you are living in a haunted house, "ghosts must be proven to exist", a claim that the paranormal community has yet to prove. There are many methodological problems with their investigative techniques, according to Radford. "They fail to properly investigate and verify their assumptions at virtually every step, making leaps of logic and guessing far beyond the evidence". Lockdowns like what you see on this reality show are using ineffective techniques with equipment not meant to be used for this purpose, to look for something that has not been proven to exist or even defined. "A stakeout (such as these) is essentially a scientific experiment without the science". Completely lacking in controls. "Groff and Weidman... are walking around a house with a camera crew, literally and figuratively in the dark. The only things they're testing are their video editors' endurance and the patience of their viewers. These 'reality' television shows are entertainment, not investigation." Wanna go for a ride? Pack up ALL of your courage and get in the RV with paranormal explorers Dakota Laden, Chelsea Laden, Tanner Wiseman and Alex Schroeder as they hit the haunted highways, byways and back roads of America once again, spending the night inside the nation's scariest places. Across this season's eight one-hour episodes, the fear-chasing foursome will be driven to the edge of endurance. Exploring under the harshest conditions they've ever faced, and using sensory deprivation tactics to augment their paranormal experiment, this trip will test their mental, emotional and physical strength to the extreme. Venturing inside notoriously haunted locations such as Ohio State Reformatory, the Villisca Axe Murder House and Odd Fellows Home, the team confronts intense supernatural forces - and they quickly learn these entities do more than go bump in the night. "We've been through a lot together but even after all of our dark encounters, we've barely scratched the surface of what's out there," said Dakota Laden. "I usually save the worst location for last, but this time I am throwing us head-first into one of the scariest places in the entire country. And I have a few surprises up my sleeve to fuel the terror even more." In the season premiere, Dakota takes the team to one of the most frightening and infamous places in America: Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky. The death rate was so high at this former tuberculosis hospital that a "body chute" was created to hide the constant flow of deceased bodies from those who were living in the facility. Dakota, Chelsea, Tanner and Alex have dreamed of visiting this location for years, but they've always been too afraid to confront the sinister forces lurking within, until now. Facing a dark history of brutal deaths and paranormal violence, the team is taunted by several tortured souls still looming within the abandoned halls. Physical afflictions and ghostly apparitions put the group through the ultimate test of strength and endurance. "No other season has challenged our limits of fear like this one," said Chelsea Laden. "It's really forced us to exceed those limitations and do the unthinkable." Added Tanner Wiseman, "I think this is the most vulnerable we've ever been. Even our pit stops are challenging. It adds a whole new layer to our experience." "Everything is extreme, even the locations," said Alex Schroeder. "And as much as we try to ready ourselves for each situation, nothing can really prepare us for what comes next." Investigating terrifying true hauntings from the case files of America's first ghost hunter, Dr. Hans Holzer. Paranormal investigator Dave Schrader, psychic medium Cindy Kaza, equipment expert Shane Pittman and researcher Gabe Roth investigate terrifyingly true hauntings from the recently discovered case files of America's first ghost hunter, Dr. Hans Holzer. Recognized as the "father of the paranormal," Holzer's four-decades-long exploration into disturbing hauntings like the Amityville Horror house spawned legions of supernatural enthusiasts, more than 120 books and even inspired Dan Aykroyd to write Ghostbusters. For the first time ever, Holzer's daughter, Alexandra Holzer, reopens her father's most captivating case files -- along with thousands of his documents, letters, photographs and hours of chilling audio-visual recordings from as early as the 1950s. Equipped with this treasure trove of paranormal knowledge and state-of-the-art technology, the team compares their findings with Holzer's to see if their modern research sheds new light on these half-century-old investigations.

Physical medium Amy Allan and former NYPD homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi investigate allegedly haunted locations at the request of their clients, in an effort to provide proof of paranormal activity. The Dead Files team approaches every case from their two specific areas of expertise: Steve DiSchiavi is a Homicide Detective and Amy Allan is a Physical Medium. They are a paranormal team like no other, combining their unique, eclectic and often-conflicting skills to solve unexplained paranormal phenomena in haunted locations across America. Former NYPD homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi and physical medium Amy Allan are back on the case. Utilizing his detective skills, DiSchiavi interviews witnesses and experts, and researches the history and facts behind each haunted location. Allan, a physical medium who sees and communicates with the dead, assesses the property to identify what underlying entities reside there. Keeping their findings hidden from each other, the team avoids all contact with one another - coming together only at the very end to reveal their shocking discoveries to the property owners, and each other. New season will include six one-hour episodes. Each investigator’s methods and findings remain hidden from the other team member to preserve the integrity of their findings, until the shocking results are revealed to the homeowner in the compelling conclusion of each episode. While much of Steve’s factual findings have already been disclosed to the audience as we followed him on his investigation, we always save the most shocking information for last. This is the moment of truth, when Steve and Amy come together, with the homeowner, and all of the team’s findings gel into one undeniable – and often terrifying – conclusion. Amy Allan - Paranormal researcher and physical medium Amy Allan works with retired homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi on The Dead Files to help people who believe paranormal activity is ruining their lives. Steve DiSchiavi - Former US Marine Steve DiSchiavi is a 21-year veteran of the New York City Police Department, where he was a homicide detective.
