Blown Away is a Canadian reality glassblowing competition television series that premiered on the Canadian channel Makeful before a subsequent release on the streaming platform Netflix.
The series was created and produced by theoldschool and executive produced by Robin Ashbrook and Yasmin Shackleton with co-executive producer Adam Cooper. According to an interview with PinkNews, Chung and France met at a Victoria Beckham party during London Fashion Week. France had already signed onto Next in Fashion and mentioned the role to Chung, who was "too drunk to realise" at the time. In a statement to Variety, Netflix's vice president of unscripted originals and comedy specials Brandon Riegg explained why it made sense for the company to venture into the fashion competition series category: Fashion is something that is really appealing and relatable, and so it made sense for us to get into that space considering our viewers around the world ... It is also an opportunity to gauge the fashion enthusiasm of fans and showcase some amazing talent and stories [from designers], the struggles and the victories, and help them elevate their own brand to the next level through the show. Riegg also discussed the importance of the show's global casting: “One of the core tenets of our approach to programming is having diversity, and diversity comes in lots of different forms; obviously we are a global platform ... But really it came to finding great characters with great story, and who are credible in the fashion space. And that was a big driver in terms of the casting. It just happened that we looked everywhere in looking for those qualities in the contestants and it allowed us to have more of a global group of contestants for this series in particular.”

Interior designers compete for a life-changing design contract and opportunity to work with a prestigious commercial client. The competition pits 10 interior designers against each other for a chance to win a commercial contract to design a bar at one of London's hotels. Each week, a different challenge is set, designed to test their ability to meet various client briefs in different commercial and residential settings. Across the series, the contenders redesign commercial spaces, from shops to restaurants and salons. Interior Design Masters is hosted by presenter Fearne Cotton, and judged by former Elle Decoration editor-in-chief Michelle Ogundehin. Nailed It! was inspired by the craze of people trying and failing to make elaborate cakes they found on the Internet. Three amateur bakers with demonstrated poor baking skills attempt to re-create edible masterpieces for a $10,000 prize and the Nailed It! trophy. Competitors take part in two challenges over the course of the 35-minute episodes. The first challenge is called "Baker's Choice", where the contestants pick one of three existing confectionery treats and try to recreate it. The winner of this challenge gets a special prize and is allowed to wear a golden chef's hat. In the second challenge, "Nail It or Fail It", contestants have two hours to recreate a complicated cake from scratch. They each receive a "Panic Button" which allows them to get three minutes of assistance from one of the judges. The worst-performing baker from the first challenge gets a second button to distract the other bakers – the specific function varies depending on the episode, but normally involves Nicole annoying the bakers. The three judges decide on the winning cake based upon presentation and taste. The winner receives a trophy and the $10,000 prize.
