At the crux of the war that ended with the destruction of planet Altea, King Alfor of Altea separated Voltron to protect it from falling into the evil Galran King Zarkon's possession. King Alfor bonded the five lions' energies to his daughter Allura's life force and sent them across the universe to different locations until the time for the next generation of Paladins to appear and pilot Voltron arrived. Princess Allura, her royal adviser Coran, and the Altean Castle of Lions were hidden on planet Arus along with the Black Lion. In the present, the Galra Empire's path of conquest and search for Voltron has led them to Earth's solar system. A group of space pilots – Shiro, Keith, Lance, Pidge, and Hunk — discover the Blue Lion and immediately get swept up into the Galran War. infinity-train-series-date

Various people find themselves on a mysterious train with an endless number of cars, each one being its own universe, and they must find a way to get home in this animated anthology series. The series is set on a seemingly endless train traveling through a barren landscape; the cars of the train contain a variety of bizarre and fantastical environments. The train picks up passengers who have unresolved emotional issues or trauma. As they travel through the train's cars, passengers' adventures give them the opportunity to confront and resolve their problems, represented by a glowing number on their hand that goes down as each personal issue is confronted. Once they have resolved their issues and their number reaches zero, a portal opens and they are able to leave the train and return home. The first season focuses on Tulip Olsen, a girl struggling with her parents' recent divorce. She is accompanied by a small, confused robot named "One-One", and Atticus, the ruler of a kingdom of talking corgis. She eventually uncovers many of the train's secrets and confronts Amelia, a passenger who, instead of resolving her trauma from her husband's death, has usurped the role of Conductor from One-One and tried to take control of the train. Before leaving the train, Tulip persuades Amelia to try to adapt to the changes in her life. In one first-season episode, Tulip frees her own reflection from the mirror world, and the two part ways. The second season focuses on the emancipated Mirror Tulip ("MT"), now on the run from enforcers attempting to kill her as punishment for abandoning her role as Tulip's reflection. She teams up with Jesse, a new train passenger, as well as Alan Dracula, a silent deer with a variety of powers. She helps Jesse leave the train by learning to stand up for himself, and he returns to the train to help her escape to the outside world as well. The third season centers on Grace and Simon, the leaders of a gang of rogue passengers who vandalize the train and attack its denizens to keep their numbers high. Traveling with a young girl named Hazel and her gorilla friend Tuba makes Grace more sympathetic to the train's denizens. After Simon kills Tuba, it is revealed that Hazel herself is one of Amelia's creations, and Grace realizes what she thought she knew about the train is wrong. In the end, after fighting off Simon's attempt to usurp control, Grace tries to face up to and mend her mistakes.

d-p-netflix-season-1-release-date.jpeg

Netflix has confirmed the production of Season 2 for D.P., a series that was released this year on August 27th that brought hidden social issues under the spotlight. It was selected for The New York Times Best International Shows of 2021 when the list was released on December 3rd. D.P. soldiers have one mission: to pursue the deserters. D.P. is an acronym for 'Deserter Pursuit,' a unit within the Army's Military Police for tracking down AWOL soldiers. With this novel premise and a close look into issues within the military, the original webtoon by Kim Bo-tong was a huge hit that attracted more than 10 million readers in Korea. Jung Hae-in (Something in the Rain and One Spring Night, Tune in for Love) plays An Jun-ho, an army private assigned to D.P. detail by his supervisor who has found him to be observant and persistent. An Jun-ho is a quiet, even-tempered young man who does not believe in bending the rules. He becomes to be struggling with inner conflict as he faces different cases of deserters. Koo Kyo-hwan (Peninsula, Jane) plays Han Ho-yeol, the corporal leading the desertion arrest unit. Although he appears to be an unambitious free spirit, Ho-yeol will present Jun-ho at times with useful investigation know-how and at times with ill-temper, in a display of great teamwork between the two actors. Kim Sung-kyun (The Fiery Priest, Reply 1994, and Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time) plays the role of D.P. Unit Chief Park Beom-gu who constantly nags the already stressed and chronically fatigued Jun-ho and Ho-yeol. Beom-gu is an experienced and capable leader who always looks out for them. Son Suk-ku (Sense8, Mother, Be Melodramatic, Designated Survivor: 60 Days) plays First Lieutenant Im Ji-seop, an elite graduate of the Korea Military Academy and the Commander of the Military Police, who creates suspense and tension as he only cares about results and highly disapproves of D.P.. The series is directed by Han Jun-hee, whose full-length debut film Coin Locker Girl caused an uproar in the Korean film industry by being selected to screen in the International Critics' Week section of the 68th Cannes Film Festival in 2015. He and the original webtoon writer Kim Bo-tong collaborated on the screenplay. D.P. will is produced by Lezhin Studio in association with Homemade Film. Series premieres August 27, 2021 internationally on Netflix.
