Each episode of The Great Christmas Light Fight features a series of families or groups that create elaborate Christmas light displays. The contestants are chosen in advance by producers. The displays are judged on three categories: use of lights, overall design, and Christmas spirit. Each display is first individually featured, then the judge or judges review the display and its specific details. Once all contestants have been reviewed, a winner is chosen, and the judges return to the winner to congratulate them. The winner of each week's episode wins $50,000 and a holiday-themed trophy.

I Bought A Dump... Now What? follows homeowners who purchased dilapidated properties in hopes of renovating them into their forever home. Trying to save money by tackling the overhauls themselves, homeowners end up behind schedule, over budget and exhausted. During the series, cameras track the progress of each renovation and reveal whether the owners can ultimately finish the job.
The premiere episode introduces three families as they begin their risky renovations. The featured homeowners include a couple who spent their life savings to buy an abandoned 1860s farmhouse in Richmond, Michigan; a father/daughter team in Detroit who need to finish a fixer-upper in just 90 days; and a young couple in Birmingham, Alabama, who face expensive set backs as they renovate a century-old home.

Created by Sam Jay (Netflix's "Sam Jay: 3 in the Morning") and Prentice Penny (HBO's "Insecure"), the series features a new take on the late-night talk show format and uses a fresh lens to plunge into the cultural issues that divide us. Each week, Sam hosts a party at her apartment, where she and her guests explore current topics. Conversations are further expanded upon throughout the episode with additional interviews, sketches, and animation. In an era of discord, Sam sets out to listen, learn, and ask questions to those with different perspectives.

Each episode features four people vying in three rounds to win up to $25,000 cash. At the beginning, $100,000 is split evenly among the players to spend however they wish during the game. The chefs spend the money at auctions to get things that could help them -- like buying exclusive use of salt -- or hinder their opponents -- like prohibiting them from tasting a recipe in progress.

Each round eliminates one chef, until there is a winner. Although the competitors want to make purchases at auction to improve the chances of winning, they don't want to spend too much; the amount remaining in the winner's bank determines the ultimate prize. Some special tournaments -- usually seasonally themed -- stretch across multiple episodes and offer higher amounts of money. Alton Brown hosts.
