"Big Shot" centers around Marvyn Korn (Stamos) after he is ousted from his position as head coach for an NCAA basketball team. He is given a chance at redemption with a coaching position at Westbrook, an elite private high school for girls and soon learns that the teenage players require empathy and vulnerability - foreign concepts for the stoic Coach Korn. By learning to connect with his players and his daughter, Marvyn starts to grow into the person he's always hoped to be. The girls learn to take themselves more seriously, finding their footing both on and off the court.

Series regulars include John Stamos, Jessalyn Gilsig, Richard Robichaux, Sophia Mitri Schloss, Nell Verlaque, Tiana Le, Monique Green, Tisha Eve Custodio, Cricket Wampler and Yvette Nicole Brown.

Disney+ greenlighted season 2 of the basketball dramedy, "Big Shot," led by John Stamos in a stand-out performance. Created by David E. Kelley ("Big Little Lies"), Dean Lorey ("My Wife and Kids) and Brad Garrett ("Single Parents") and executive-produced by Kelley, Lorey, Garrett and Bill D'Elia ("Chicago Hope"). The second season will resume production in 2022. Dean Lorey will return as showrunner. The Disney Branded Television series is produced by ABC Signature.

Written and created by Executive Producer Michael Waldron ("Loki," the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) with Executive Producer Mike O'Malley ("Shameless," "Survivor's Remorse") as showrunner, "Heels" stars Stephen Amell ("Arrow") as Jack Spade, with Alexander Ludwig (The Hunger Games, "Vikings") playing his younger brother, Ace. The drama series also stars Alison Luff as Staci Spade, Jack's wife who learns that she has to contend with the emotional stakes her in-laws have invested in their wrestling goals and the demands it puts on her family; Mary McCormack as Willie Day, Jack's business partner and the logistical brains behind the local wrestling organization; Kelli Berglund as Crystal Tyler, Ace's valet and love interest; Allen Maldonado as Rooster Robbins, one of the best wrestlers in the circuit who always has something to prove and always backs it up; two-time Super Bowl champion James Harrison as Apocalypse, a been-around-the-block journeyman wrestler who's been at it for decades and has no illusions of fame or glory; and Chris Bauer as Wild Bill Hancock, a larger-than-life former wrestling star who is now a high-level pro wrestling scout.

Along with Waldron, O'Malley and Segal, LBI Entertainment's Julie Yorn (Hell or High Water, White Boy Rick, The Dirt), Christopher Donnelly and Patrick Walmsley will also serve as executive producers. "Heels" is produced by Lionsgate TV for STARZ in association with Paramount Television Studios.

Hanna executive producer Tom Coan said of Season Three: "The journey is going to be bigger and better than before ... everything lives at a much louder volume this year and it's going to be exciting for audiences to see the next chapter of the story. We had two intentions in making this show - to be more sophisticated and dynamic - and that was the centerpiece on which everything was built ... we operated on the principle of trying to make it as exciting as possible."

On the addition of Ray Liotta to the Season Three cast, Coan shared, "You see Ray Liotta and he is menacing and dangerous and complicated, and that's one of the powers he brings to the screen every time."
