"Big Shot" centers around Marvyn Korn (Stamos) after he is ousted from his position as head coach for an NCAA basketball team. He is given a chance at redemption with a coaching position at Westbrook, an elite private high school for girls and soon learns that the teenage players require empathy and vulnerability - foreign concepts for the stoic Coach Korn. By learning to connect with his players and his daughter, Marvyn starts to grow into the person he's always hoped to be. The girls learn to take themselves more seriously, finding their footing both on and off the court.

Disney+ greenlighted season 2 of the basketball dramedy, "Big Shot," led by John Stamos in a stand-out performance. Created by David E. Kelley ("Big Little Lies"), Dean Lorey ("My Wife and Kids) and Brad Garrett ("Single Parents") and executive-produced by Kelley, Lorey, Garrett and Bill D'Elia ("Chicago Hope"). The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is scheduled to debut on March 19, 2021 on Disney+, and will consist of six episodes. The series was originally scheduled to be released in August 2020, but this was delayed due to filming being suspended as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be part of Phase Four of the MCU.
The series which reteams Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and Daniel Bruhl from the Avengers-verse drew 125M views (that’s from its spot and trailer traffic combined) in the 24 hours following the big game. This is according to social media analytic sources. Not only is that figure a record for a streaming series trailer, but it squashes a number of other trailer viewing titles as well, i.e. last year’s Black Widow Super Bowl Spot which drew 119M in its first 24 hours, as well as WandaVision‘s 53M in the 24 hours following its airing on last September’s Primetime Emmys (the previous trailer record-holder for a streaming series).
